These are NOT ordinary times!!
Peace be still says the Lord! These are truly extra-ordinary times. I am writing this from a deep place of humility with reverential fear and trembling! Without the Spirit of the Lord we are merely shadows and dust!
It has become crystal clear that God Almighty is truly in charge of this planet as I feel the convulsions of the End-times begin to intensify and converge! The fullness of time is upon us! The nations of the earth (particularly America) have begun to experience a shaking like never seen before! Securities are NOT secure! There is no doubt; America has lost its supremacy in the global financial arena. As we know, money is almost congruent with power.
The church has experienced a real shaking with believer and minister accountability levels at an all time low! For some reason, many human beings have sub-consciously looked to the same class of beings for affirmation and spiritual definition and comprehension instead of the One who created all things.
God in His infinite mercy is preparing us to depend on Him exclusively for the precarious times ahead. We too at The Sending Church have been slammed, and belittled as we have watched everything we thought was dependable become really soft! We have been broken and bruised and now we are beginning to catch a glimpse of the reasoning behind the failings. God has been burning into us that He is our reward! There are no short cuts to authentic spirituality. Period.
We want to share with you that the only measure that will sustain the body of Christ through these difficult times is relentless pursuit of God leading to true Spirit led living. God revealed to us that there are so many people who attend churches who are not Disciples of Christ and really do not "Know" Him. See John 8:31-36. This is really tragic! What if the difficult times we now live in result in collateral damage? Do we really know for sure who would spend eternity with God?
There are two major questions that would be signs for trouble:
1. Do you still practice sin in areas of your life and try to justify your actions to yourself in spite of God's instructions.
2. Do the failings of others adversely affect your relationship with God?
As you ponder over these questions, please consider that no human being (other than Christ) has been enabled to broker between man and God. Only God answers prayers based on the faith of the requestors and others that are permitted to plead on the behalf of third party individuals. Likewise, there is clear demarcation between knowledge of scripture and the Word made flesh! Even demons know scripture. James 2:19-20.
Our charge as a ministry is to shamelessly extend to all with core messages of Christianity that would lead to "true" Spiritual Reformation in Christ. No compromise!
It is time for deep humility and we really need to understand that we need each other to thrive. James 4:6-8, Heb 10:23-25
We need to pray with all of our hearts with fasting, reflective study of the Word and deep meditation. I am not talking about clichés around 2 Chronicles 7:14. This is a 911 alert! 1 Pet 5:8. This is the time to seek the Lord with every indivisible part of our core being!
